Snipe duo wins bronze in general and gold in the mixed category in the Brazilian Class Championship

Earlier this year, the 71st Snipe Class Brazilian Championship took place in Salvador. The duo Juliana Duque and Rafael Martins won, after 7 races, the third place in the general classification and the first in the mixed category. The athletes had 31 points lost, just four more than the competition winners.

With the participation of 41 boats, the competition was held at the Yacht Club da Bahia from January 17th to 25th. The Recon on Alpha rose in two days of competition: one because of the lack of wind and one because of the excess, since a subtropical cyclone passed close to the lane.

The sailors made good races, reaching the Top10 in almost all, being the winners of one. "It was a very difficult championship like always in the snipe class. I was very happy to have managed to maintain such a good average throughout the championship. This was our best Brazilian and I hope it keeps improving every year," said Juliana.
